Empower Energy has partnered with Christchurch City Mission to help address energy hardship in our community.
Our digital platform enables people and businesses with solar panels to easily donate some or all of your solar buy-back credit (from the unused energy you export to the grid each month) via your power bill. The pool of donated credit is then able to be distributed by the Mission to those in need in the community.
A small amount of ‘bonus’ buy-back credit from your solar panels can make a big difference in the life of a vulnerable family.
To join Empower Energy, all you have to do is sign up as a donor on the form below, nominate the percentage of your buy-back credit, and we’ll do the rest.
You can start, stop, or change your donation at any time.

Empower Energy has Donee Status from IRD, meaning donations of $5 or more may qualify for a tax credit.
